The story

Water (氵) by the white (白) shore: finding rest beside calm, moonlit waters. In Japan, 一泊二日 (ippaku futsuka, one night two days) is the classic weekend getaway format. Whether at a seaside 民泊 (minpaku, homestay) or a mountain 旅館 (ryokan), 泊まる means finding shelter on your journey.

Used in 宿泊 (shukuhaku, lodging), 一泊 (ippaku, one night stay), and 泊まる (tomaru, to stay overnight)
