The story

Movement (辶) with a gift offering (关): accompanying something or someone to their destination. In Japan, 見送り (miokuri, seeing someone off) is a deeply important ritual. Hosts bow at the door until guests disappear from view. 送別会 (soubetsukai, farewell party) honors departing colleagues with warmth.
