The story

Sickness (疒) with 利, sharp, a blade (刂) cutting through grain (禾): a gut that runs sharp and fast. 痢 lives in 下痢, diarrhea, and 赤痢, dysentery, and a 下痢止め is what you hope the pharmacy has.

Used in 下痢 (geri, diarrhea) and 赤痢 (sekiri, dysentery)
