The story

A roof (广) over 兼, which the Shuowen draws as a hand holding two stalks of grain: picture taking only your fair share. 廉 is honest and cheap at once: 清廉 is incorruptible, a 廉価版 is a budget edition, and 破廉恥 is shameless.

Used in 廉価 (renka, low price), 清廉 (seiren, integrity/incorruptibility), and 破廉恥 (harenchi, shameless)
