The story

Words (言) weighed for what is right (義): talk that has to reach a conclusion. Japanese working life runs on 会議, meetings, and the lawmakers who sit in Tokyo's 国会議事堂 are 議員, elected to debate.

Used in 会議 (kaigi, meeting), 議論 (giron, discussion/debate), and 議員 (giin, member of parliament)
