The story

Flesh (月) beside a small table (几): picture skin as smooth as polished wood. 肌 is your skin as you see and feel it: skincare ads promise 美肌, beautiful skin, and a chill or a thrill brings out 鳥肌, bird skin, goosebumps.

Used in 鳥肌 (torihada, goosebumps), 美肌 (bihada, beautiful skin), and 肌荒れ (hadaare, rough skin)
