The story

The heart (忄) beside 兪, the part that carries goods in 輸: picture a heart carried along by good company. 愉快 is cheerful fun, 不愉快 is the stiff word for offended or annoyed, and writers sometimes dress up 楽しい as 愉しい.

Used in 愉快 (yukai, cheerful/fun), 不愉快 (fuyukai, unpleasant), and 愉悦 (yuetsu, delight)
