The story
Two faint threads (幺幺) deep inside the mountains (山): something barely there, far from the light. A 幽霊 is a ghost, classically in white with long black hair, and 幽玄, the hushed, mysterious depth of Noh, is one of Japan's great ideals of beauty.
Used in 幽霊 (yuurei, ghost), 幽玄 (yuugen, subtle and profound grace), and 幽閉 (yuuhei, confinement)
