The story

Walking (辶) away after losing (失) your post: 迭 lives in one word you meet in the news, 更迭, when a minister, an official or a team's coach is replaced, usually after a scandal or a losing streak.

Used in 更迭 (koutetsu, replacement/dismissal of an official)
