The story

A person (亻) in the middle (中): the space between two people, and how they stand in it. 仲がいい is getting along well, 仲直り is making up after a quarrel, and 仲間 are the friends who have your back.

Used in 仲間 (nakama, friends/companions), 仲良し (nakayoshi, close friends), and 仲直り (nakanaori, making up)
