The story

Two young bows with trailing decorations: bows still too soft to fire, strength not yet arrived. Japanese cherishes the underdog: weakness, in stories and sumo alike, is a stage of becoming.

Used in 弱い (yowai, weak), 弱点 (jakuten, weak point), and 病弱 (byoujaku, sickly)
