The story

Wood (木) beside 卆, nine (九) over ten (十): a kanji made in Japan for a wooden frame. 枠 is a frame or a set limit: 窓枠 is a window frame, 枠組み a framework, and 枠にとらわれない is thinking outside the box.

Used in 枠 (waku, frame/limit), 枠組み (wakugumi, framework), and 窓枠 (madowaku, window frame)
