The story
An eye (目) with the arch of a brow drawn over it: one of the plainest pictures among kanji. 眉 is the eyebrow, 眉毛 the hairs themselves, 眉間 the spot between the brows, and 眉をひそめる is to frown in disapproval.
Used in 眉毛 (mayuge, eyebrows), 眉間 (miken, space between the eyebrows), and 眉をひそめる (mayu o hisomeru, to frown)
