The story

A heart (忄) beside 吾, I: the heart that finally sees the self clearly. 悟る is to realize, 悟り is the enlightenment Zen monks sit for, and 覚悟 is resolve, the state of someone ready for whatever comes.

Used in 悟る (satoru, to realize/awaken), 悟り (satori, enlightenment), and 覚悟 (kakugo, resolve/readiness)
