The story

Steps (彳) beside 正, right: marching out to set the world straight. 征 is a military campaign: 征服 is conquest, 遠征 an expedition or a team's away tour, and 征夷大将軍, "great general who subdues the barbarians", was the shogun's title.

Used in 征服 (seifuku, conquest), 遠征 (ensei, expedition/away tour), and 征夷大将軍 (seii taishougun, shogun)
