The story

A horse (馬) under the top of 券, beside flesh (月): picture a stallion rearing up into the air. 騰 is surging up: 沸騰 is water at a boil, 高騰 is a price spike in the news, and 暴騰 is prices shooting through the roof.

Used in 高騰 (koutou, sharp rise in price), 沸騰 (futtou, boiling), and 暴騰 (boutou, price surge)
