The story

An insect (虫) with 文, which lends its sound, ぶん, like the whine in your ear at night. Japanese summers smell of 蚊取り線香, green coils burning slowly to keep mosquitoes away, often set inside a ceramic pig.

Used in 蚊 (ka, mosquito), 蚊取り線香 (katori senkou, mosquito coil), and 蚊帳 (kaya, mosquito net)
