The story

Movement (辶) beside 兆, the cracks that spread across an oracle bone: picture someone fleeing in every direction at once. 逃げる is to run away, and 見逃す, "see and let go", is to miss something or let it slide.

Used in 逃げる (nigeru, to run away), 見逃す (minogasu, to miss/overlook), and 逃亡 (toubou, flight/escape)
