The story

Moving (辶) out of the way of 辟, whose 辛 is a blade for punishment: getting out of harm's reach. 避ける is to avoid, 回避 is evasion, and signs reading 避難場所 all over Japan show where to go when disaster strikes.

Used in 避ける (sakeru, to avoid), 避難 (hinan, evacuation), and 回避 (kaihi, avoidance)
