The story

Running feet (辶) and 隶, which looks like a hand (ヨ) grabbing at something: a chase that ends with a grab. 逮 lives in 逮捕, arrest, and every police drama has a detective say 逮捕する as the handcuffs snap shut.

Used in 逮捕 (taiho, arrest) and 逮捕状 (taihojou, arrest warrant)
